▶What do Score · Z · Act mean?
Score: the sum of a season’s five category z-scores (R · HR · RBI · SB · AVG for hitters, W · K · SV · ERA · WHIP for pitchers), or just the categories you leave toggled on. Both pools are five cats in the same units, so hitters and pitchers share one board.
Z: standard deviations above the average player in the same pool that same season (hitters vs hitters, pitchers vs pitchers). Era-fair: Ruth ’27 is measured against 1927 peers and Ohtani ’24 against 2024. ERA/WHIP are inverted (lower = better), and the rate cats (AVG · ERA · WHIP) are volume-weighted so a September call-up’s hot week doesn’t out-pitch an ace.
Act: flips the stat strip to the raw numbers. Display only; the ranking always stays on z-scores, the era-fair measure.
