Roto Champ
Every NFL team scored as a roto fantasy team. The title the NFL never hands out.
▶How is it scored?
Lineup: every team is its best possible starting lineup by that season’s fantasy points. QB · RB · RB · WR · WR · WR · TE · FLEX, in ½PPR.
Scoring: football is a points game, not categories. The lineup’s total ½PPR points is the team’s score, and the highest total wins the title.
A team can be Roto Champ without winning the real title: that gap is the whole fun.

The Buffalo Bills won the 1975 Roto Champ with 1113.8 points, 38.0 ahead of the Minnesota Vikings. It was largely a two-man job: O.J. Simpson and Jim Braxton account for 52 percent of the lineup between them. The lineup leans on its running backs more than most: 52 percent of the total, about 39 percent above what that slot gave the average team this season. Their flex spot went to a tight end, Reuben Gant. The Minnesota Vikings were ahead at three slots, including quarterback, and it counted for nothing against 100.2 points at running back.
